After a heartbreaking end to his season, LeBron James gave a brutally honest reflection on his disappointing NBA Finals experience. The four-time NBA MVP put on a herculean performance against the surging Golden State Warriors, but ultimately, his gas tank ran out and not even the future hall-of-famer could do enough to propel the team to game 7.

In his first season since his return to the Cavaliers, LeBron James was seemingly poised to win Cleveland it's first NBA Championship. However, a series of devastating injuries to key superstars Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving nearly derailed the Cavs' path to the NBA Finals. A testament to James' greatness though, the team managed to persevere and make it to the Finals, taking the eventual champs to six games in a thrilling series.

But alas, their James' efforts were not enough, despite his stellar play. In the post-game press conference James offered some very honest insight into his disappointment at not winning a title. Visibly disappointed, James pondered out loud whether it was all worth it while sitting amongst the media.

Exhausted physically and emotionally, a worn out James entertained the notion that he might prefer not even making the playoffs. The disappointment of getting so close yet ultimately failing seemed to be more devastating than having the opportunity to reach the Finals altogether.
