There have been 31 NBA players (current and former) that have played hoops for the Chinese Basketball Association. It's becoming more and more common that aging players, or players that never really lived up to their hype, seek basketball refuge overseas. Perhaps no single player has seen a resurgence in their career quite like Stephon Marbury, however. While he has most definitely found a second life with the Beijing Ducks, this particular clip doesn't do him any favors as it shows Han DeJun absolutely posterizing the polarizing figure.

For those of you unfamiliar with Han DeJun, he's a 7'1" behemoth who plays for the Liaoning Flying Leopards in the Chinese Basketball Association. My guess is that right about now Starbury's probably wishing he could wipe this play from the memory banks of his newfound Chinese faithful, but he'll ultimately get the last laugh.

I give "Starbury" credit for having the courage to even attempt this block, but at a feisty 6'2", he gave me flashbacks of his "high talent-low basketball I.Q." game that sent him packing from the NBA in the first place. He was out of position, and as this evidence suggests, had no business trying to block the shot. There's no two ways about it, DeJun pretty much erases Marbury's soul (and body) with this facial. As if that wasn't demoralizing enough, it was an "and 1."

I've got a soft spot in my basketball heart for Stephon finding his way in this world again, but this was just plain filthy. He'd have the last laugh however, as he went on to shake off the cobwebs and lead Beijing to a clutch come-from behind victory. Marbury may have ended up on a poster, but he finished the game with 36 points, and most importantly, the win.
